Fast development reduces the chance the market changes during the course of the project.
The revenues earned by the product over its lifetime will be higher. Most products have a limited product life, but that life starts from the genesis of the idea, not the first day of sales.

Too much focus on speed may result in a product that has no competitive advantage, or is unreliable, or even dangerous. The costs of putting this right after launch, including damage to the seller’s reputation, can outweigh any profits earned.
